How would you describe your work? What do you do and how does it help people?

I work with patients to understand which systems in their bodies are not working as well as they should be. All of our systems are connected, so we look at what we can do to support each system, to make it easier for the body to work efficiently and effectively. We put simple building blocks for health in place, and then move to higher level strategy so that patients can thrive.

Is there an area of your work that you are particularly passionate about?

I love working with women around challenges that they are experiencing in their hormones. Hormones affect so many areas of our lives – often in ways that we are unaware of – and this is a huge passion for me because conventional medicine offers a limited range of options for treatment. I love working with babies too, especially helping parents to learn how to introduce food and manage things like fevers in their babies. It can be overwhelming for parents and I love helping them understand what is going on so they feel confident in their ability to manage it.

Dr. Janine is so amazing. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to you.

What can clients count on you for?

They can count on me to really listen to them, to take the time to figure out who they are and what factors are playing a role in their health. They can count on me to support them wherever they are in their journey, to educate, and to work with them to create a realistic, do-able plan for making the change that they want to see in their health. They can count on me to communicate and work with the other people in their health team and to advocate for them when needed.

What part of your work makes you think?

“YES! I am so lucky that this is what I get to do with my life!”?

The lightbulb moments! I love seeing the light pop up in a client’s eyes when they realize what is actually happening with their body, the relief they feel when they have a plan, and the assurance that they CAN feel better. Those moments are gold!
