An Introduction to Myofunctional Therapy – What and Who Does It Treat & Why Is It Important for you

This workshop will explore:

  • How we breathe, if we are breathing properly, and what happens if proper breathing and posture are interrupted or absent.
  • It will take a brief look at the adverse, and often unrecognized signs and symptoms of mouth breathing that participants may be noticing in themselves, or their children – topics such as dental and speech concerns, sleep and breathing concerns, and feeding and swallowing.
  • We will conclude with a discussion of the importance of preventative health care, and the role and goals of myofunctional therapy in patient treatment. Discussing mom’s oral facial health + breathing prior to, and during pregnancy
